So you are wondering what the French countryside of Poitou-Charentes looks like? Well at our place in Combrand you can have a taste of life in “le Bocage” which are the hedge rows and rolling landscape of the West of France.

We are located about 1.5 hour’s drive from the French airport of Nantes or Poitiers.

If you’re after a relaxing holiday location, this is just the place! If you like fishing, there is a medium size pond near the house where you can try your luck and catch some supper!

For sport lovers, there is a large playing field where you can play volley or the more typically french “petanque” (metal balls), you can cycle and also do plenty of walking.

There are some famous tourist attractions near us like the Pescalis, the Futuroscope, numerous castles. For wine lovers there are lots of great local ‘chateaux’ to be enjoyed.

The accomodation can cater for 4 people with a double bed on the mezzanine level and a sofa-bed downstairs. We have tried to make it as cosy as possible and we’ve also got plenty of information and brochures about local activities at your disposition.

We favour non-smoking guests. We are part of the Gîtes de France et are classified under "Fishing location" and "Baby Friendly".
